POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our public accounting team. This role involves leading client engagements, preparing and reviewing complex tax returns and/or audit workpapers, and mentoring staff accountants. The Senior Accountant will serve as a key point of contact for clients and play an important role in delivering high-quality services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations
• Conduct tax research and assist with tax planning and compliance strategies
• Perform compilation engagements, including preparing workpapers and financial statements
• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously
• Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, explain results, and address questions
• Supervise, train, and review work prepared by staff accountants
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and firm standards
• Identify opportunities to improve client processes and firm efficiencies
• Assist with advisory and special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)
• 3–7+ years of public accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of tax law
• Experience with public accounting software (e.g., UltraTax,  QuickBooks)
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring staff
• CPA or EA eligible
